A little history....
Designed by J.T. Rochead, who also designed the famous Wallace Monument on the outskirts of Stirling, this Venetian-style terrace stands as a testament to architectural excellence, its completion in 1858 marked it as "the finest range of buildings in Great Britain," praised for its palatial style.
In 1938, the Grosvenor Hotel opened at Nos 1 and 2 of the eastern end of the terrace, just in time for the Empire Exhibition at Bellahouston Park. Over the years, the Grosvenor has expanded its footprint, gradually taking over buildings 1 through 9.
Throughout its storied history, the Grosvenor has been witness to numerous significant local and national events, solidifying its place as a cornerstone of Glasgow's hospitality scene and a cherished landmark in the West End.
